BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard offers up to 5 Miles per Dollar (No Cap, No Min) for Foreign Transactions - Should You Get It?

Anyone who has read The Straits Times today must have seen Bank of China's full-page ad for the brand new BOC Elite Miles World Mastercard that offers up to 5 miles and 2 miles per dollar for foreign and local currency transactions respectively. Now before you get exceedingly excited, do note that these earn rates are promotional and they will only last until 31 December 2018 (your card must also be approved by 15 December 2018). Following the promotional period, the regular earn rates for this card revert to 3 miles and 1.5 miles per dollar for eligible foreign and local currency transactions respectively.

BOC Zaobao Credit Card offers up to 20% Cash Rebate (Promotional) - UnionPay Credit Card

About a week ago, I saw the new Bank of China (BOC) Zaobao Credit Card and I almost choked on the water that I was drinking. This sounds almost as ludicrous as the co-branded card with Secret Recipe and Diners Club (there's one for Long Beach too!) and upon further investigation the new BOC Zaobao (which is essentially a Chinese newspaper in Singapore in case anyone was wondering) Credit Card apparently offers up to 20% cash rebates!

New BOC Visa Infinite - No Foreign Currency Fees!

Thanks to the kind folks over at HWZ's forum (specifically phayze), I found out about the launch of a brand new Visa Infinite card by the Bank of China in Singapore. Information is still not available readily on their website so I wanted to share as much as I know here. One of the major advantages of this new credit card is the 1.5% transaction fee waiver (usually associated with all foreign currency purchases on the Visa Infinite).
